Blocking unknown calls on iPhone
 

For a few years now I have blocked unknown phone calll on my Iphone. Seems like a lot of people don’t use it. One simple toggle. Boom. Blocks at the bs calls. And they don’t leave a message. This is a great service. Actually improves your life. Big time. I don’t want to engage with these assholes. Not sure why you wouldn’t use it.

+1 - I was getting as many as a half a dozen Medicare scam calls a day - it was ruining my life - my nephew showed me how to block the calls - If you’re not on my contact list my phone don’t ring

If I even knew half of the people on my blocked call list, I'd have no freaking time to talk to anyone else.

My only hope is that this list is never ending and I can keep blocking calls. I am reasonably sure pretty much everyone in Canyon City, CO. has tried to call me at least freakin' once, Pueblo, CO. too!!

Is there a middle ground?
 

I hate getting calls which if not answered are in my missed call list as “ Probable Spam”….. but it doesn’t say that until after you don’t pick up the call. I often have people trying to reach me legitimately who are not on my contact list and I don’t want to block. Is there a way to block these SPAM calls without also being unreachable by others? Thanks…… Rocky

Well if it’s important they will leave a message right? Then if you call them back they won’t be blocked.

I don't even know how to get to my messages. on the phone or the actual landline phone.

If you call your own phone number that usually works

I find that 99.9% of these scammers disconnect once it goes to voice mail.
