Hey Folks
I have had 2 reports of members not getting emails, after getting pm's, as they normally do. And I think both reports are of getting them 5 days late? So, just checking to see what is going on with other's pm's/emails?

Although I think both are coming through timely for me now, for the past week or so I haven't been getting PM or emails until I open the net54 site. Actually up until this morning I was getting the same email notification multiple times at random times.

Considering the membership cost I'm not complaining:p

I've been getting timely PMs through Tapatalk, but the email confirmations have not come through until several days later. Odd.

I have not received emails when I get a PM for years now. Just assumed it was because I am the last breathing person on earth still using AOL. I have many other issues with sites etc. which are all traced back to AOL or so the sites are telling me. I even have a small "situation" with ebay where I have to switch to another ISP in order to see something that should be easily available.

Thanks guys.

Here is what the hosting company said and I asked them if they can reboot the mail server we use. We have 2 servers, forum and mail. I will update as appropriate..

Hello,
We have checked, and the server in question has an uptime of 611 days.
I see most of the server memory is being used by the Windows Remote Desktop Services. It has been idle for over 400 days, which can cause resource drain as it's currently using 80 percent of your server memory.
The first thing I would recommend is logging out any remote desktop sessions you have, as that should free up memory. If still seeing issues, you should reboot the server.
Please let us know if any further assistance is required.

Been happening to me too the past few days - not receiving e-mails for PMs, and then receiving the e-mails for those PMs hours/days later.

Most recently, at 12:02am on 9/10 (ie 55 minutes ago) I received an e-mail for a PM that was sent on 9/8 at 1:24pm. Hopefully it's just catching up and clearing out old PMs, and not still lagging.

Also I told a collector about this site and they went through the register process but cant get logged in and no response to emails to the admin.

They can't read an email address at the top of every page? I know I am fairly hard to get ahold of but I think, if someone wants to reach me, they probably can. Have whomever it is email me at

My email notifications are coming about 2-3 days late. been that way for a few weeks or more..... no big deal, I check my Net54 page often anyhow.

Thanks for the updates. The engineer says he synced the mail server back up to our email provider and should be good now. But, my emails aren't coming through quickly yet, at all. Any others have PM's with, or without, emails today? I have seen the comments already posted but think there could be a lag because of the que of emails that were being sent out. That is possibly the reason for the pm's from a few days ago. But what about pm's sent today? I am guessing, no bueno? Thanks again...

Leon, I received a PM a little after noon today, but so far, no email notification.

It's happened in the recent (a month or two) past
 
But nothing I am aware of recently - though I was told by a member who I sent a message to a few days ago that he didn't get notification of it.

Thanks much guys. Knock on wood, but I think we just got it figured out. We cleared everything out of the que. Not sure what was there but it isn't any longer. A test email, through the system, to myself took less than a minute just now. I think there might be some lagging issues but the email seems to be working... We'll see :)

I received emails a little while ago for the PMs I received yesterday and earlier today. The strange thing is that I received 2 identical emails for each PM.

Let's let it go a day or two and I think things will get ironed out. I just sent 2 more test emails to myself, through the system, and I got them within a minute. So, I am pretty confident the main issue was resolved, for now :cool: And we can come back to it if it persists individually.

I've received PMs, but wouldn't know if a message was missed unless the sender let me know some how. I think the PMs I've sent are received because most that usually get a response, are responded to.

Sounds like most of you guys were at least "half fortunate."
When we send a PM in here, we just get ignored with no reply
in any format.
