Yeahhhh, same. I was the underbidder on it and couldn't get one more bid in before it closed. (Also, really surprised it got a 2 from PSA, but I don't try to understand grading.)

Amazing that Goldin is now the go to for great. I've loved their auctions for years.

Leave it to Adam to crack jokes about our failures to spell Goldin correctly.

Although no one else appears to have taken the bait, so that probably says something about me too.

Maybe Goldin could do a Golden ticket promotion like Willie Wonka.

For the purposes of this thread, that would be a Wellie Wonka Goldin Ticket.

Jeff - Good luck with your consignment. I have always liked the E121 "George" Ruth variation.

Looks to be another solid effort by Joe T and the Goldin crew.

Sorry, couldn't resist. Name recognition is awesome, if it's the right name.

But I digress...

Another very strong auction.

Great vintage auction as usual since the dawning of the Joe T era.

I’m guessing this particular name recognition works just fine, even when misspelled.

My suggestion for their company is to have frequent featured auctions that are identified as a "Golden Goldin Auction". In that way, they could have the best of both word worlds, while also providing a subtle reminder that their company name is spelled with an "i", not an "e".

Catalog looks great. I know that many prefer to look at auctions online, but I still like thumbing through the pages of physical catalog.
