Keep you posted. Yes, updated posts on a sin.

It detached on its own. The sin is reattaching.

I don't know that you should cheapen the definition of sin in this manner. It's your stuff to do with as you please, so no sin has been committed in my opinion.

Was any Kurt's Card Spray employed in the process?

If not, then the high priests of Net54 may be willing to grant absolution.

I probably would have debated it myself. I would likely fall on using an easily removable archival tape that would be obvious. Then the honesty is there and the next owner can take it off if they so please, but it displays nicely for me.

Going off the title, my first thought was you did something like this….

I'm not entirely clear on this. Have you sent it to a conservator and are awaiting the results? If so, I see that as a good thing for the preservation of pieces of this particular nature.

There is a number of collectors who believe once a flaw that flaw remains and should not be repaired. Yes, I bought the postcard with the tape on the back, but putting tape or glue is a no no to some out there.

I, for one, would like to offer you absolution for a very understandable transgression.

It is no sin to re-attach, it is a sin to unattach!

You're right. Just ask John Wayne Bobbitt. ;)

It looks like it was already taped so a piece of tape on top of the existing tape can't really hurt too much. Personally, I would take it to a local framing shop and have them make a nice little frame for it and hang it up somewhere that it won't get faded and I can look at it whenever I want.

Back from the shop. Sealed and told don't bend two or three times a day. Now in an 11 1/2 by 15 toploader with a wide opening. In an inside plastic sleeve which has a cotton rag behind the postcard (not attached) for protection inside the sleeve.

I apologize for a two-part scan, but the postcard was too wide for me properly taking a picture with my phone.

Also, the red mark on the leg on Abbatachio's leg starting the middle panel has been removed.

Haha love this. Anyone know how much this has or have a guess at what this would sell for?

Seems like super beat up 311 Mantles go for $15k-$20k these days. This one might be slightly lower, since it’s a fraction of a beat up 311 Mantle?

But I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone pay $5-10k for it. Maybe even more, since the part that remains isn’t that beat up. Plus someone is bound to argue that the centering looks good, and there's basically zero tilt.

Finally, the proper presentation. From now on, to be on the safe side, it will be a born-again folding virgin.
