Issue adding photos to threads from computer

This has happened to me a couple of times. Yesterday when doing a post I was receiving this security error when adding images. I’ve done tons of posts same way no issue.

Did the following to try and fix issue:

1. Logged out and back in
2. Cleared cookies and cache
3. Tried in both Chrome and Safari browsers

The only way I can add photos is now on phone using Taptalk. Please let me know if anyone else has experienced and if they know a fix.

Thanks

Geoff

Probably the Image size is too large. Try to crop the image or use something to make the file size smaller. Such as,

Thank you. Never had issue before but will give it a shot. Any idea what the max image size is?

Should be less than 1mb for best results.... This one is a little under 200kb

.

Thank you.

Right now I scan the cards then pull into my photos folder then export to another folder at medium size which has always seemed to work. I will try the resizing app at 500k and see how they look and if that helps.

Thanks all

What I mean is the largest file the software will accept is 2mb. It usually will still crunch it down smaller, but you will get errors if the original file is 2mb or over.

I figured that out with a lot of trial and error, and also working with older software on my own websites that give me that same 2mb guardrail.

I’m a Mac guy. What do you use to make the photo size smaller?

I’m not familiar with Mac but for one photo at a time I just right click on the file, hit “edit” at the top of the menu, and a resize option should be available somewhere.

Would imagine Mac/Apple would have something similar.

I also use IrfanView which can batch resize/rename hundreds of files at once if you want to take a little time on the learning curve of it.
