What's going on with this Barry Bonds rookie "short print" - writing on the back??

Is that just a pen where someone wrote on the back there? Is this card legit?

Never seen one before, so just a guess. Seeing how PSA didn’t mention on the flip /500, leads me to believe it was not added by Bonds. Again just a guess.

Interesting. I collect Bonds and never seen this before.

PSA wouldn't even authenticate that anymore. We had a Mike Schmidt Upper Deck Heroes autographed and numbered and PSA refused it because it wasn't an "official" numbered autograph and they didn't want people claiming it was because it was certed by them.

Can't speak on the signature, but at some point did somebody do a private signing with Bonds, and simply hand-number the backs?

Wouldn't have been difficult to scrape up 500 of those at many points in the past. Even with the star power in that set, it was still considered junk wax for many years.

Definitely a Scoreboard Auto like the one in this thread

Yes, absolutely a Ken Goldin Card that lost its little paper coa. Also, the previous info about PSA refusing to holder serialed cards that will not be verified by the manufacturer with clarity even if it’s a legit signature is correct. It can’t be holdered and will be returned “no spec info”.
