We said the same of the Dallas show thieves.

BRoberts 10-12-2025 12:33 PM

Unfortunate.

BobbyStrawberry 10-12-2025 12:40 PM

I'm amazed nobody noticed this. he grabbed an entire case!

Agreed but from reading the FB response posts, he appears to be a "regular" at Oklahoma shows so if you see him, get him shadowed for he'll keep doing that until caught and prosecuted

Face and features are clear enough that I can't see this not being a fairly quick solve.

vthobby 10-12-2025 03:54 PM

2 Row....

Looks more like a 2 Row box full of cards but still amazing that no one saw him.

UGH!

JollyElm 10-12-2025 04:14 PM

If you can't find the bald pate, you must exonerate!!

UGH!

After all the big thefts that have occurred at shows recently, why leave a box of cards on a table your not watching yourself?

jayshum 10-12-2025 04:28 PM

I'm surprised at how empty the show was when this happened. All the shows I've been to recently have been packed.

Peter_Spaeth 10-12-2025 04:52 PM

It makes no sense, at the beginning of the clip on the left side you can see someone inside the booth looking right in that direction.

Maybe people are staying away because of all the anger.

calvindog 10-12-2025 05:15 PM

The bright side is that there will be less wealth to show up on the pickups thread, so less people will be upset.

Trying to find a bald pate in this hobby is like trying to find a sale on Black Friday. Hopefully he has some other distinguishing characteristics...

I'm only seeing someone with their back turned away while the vulture stuck.

Peter_Spaeth 10-12-2025 08:15 PM

I had recently been kicking around the idea of setting up at a show. Given the frequency with which theft occurs these days, it's just not worth it to me.

icurnmedic 10-12-2025 10:49 PM

Same here. Would like to set up but dang. I had even thought about photocopying my “high value “ cards and only agreeing to an in person meeting to exchange, but not sure that would be practical.

doug.goodman 10-12-2025 11:04 PM

Well...

Just a thought...

Before you photocopy your cards you might think about not setting a box full of t205 and t206 cards on your table and then turning around and walking away.

Not blaming anybody...

Maybe just a little...

If the cases are locked & chained to the table, you should be OK if you left the table for a few minutes during setup. But, don't leave anything on top of the cases.

chalupacollects 10-13-2025 06:28 AM

Wondering if the kid was with him. Seems suspicious… both dressed the same too. Hope not for the kids sake…

I hope the next thread I read is that this jackass is caught.

The only people I really trust with my cards is my family and my buddy Walt.

And for pennies on the dollar! Then she'd be off to shop at the nearest "fashion" stores.

Glad to hear the perps were apprehended, and the stolen goods were returned to their owner.

Hopefully there's a stiff penalty for such crimes against cardboard.

philliesfan 10-15-2025 06:50 PM

I was hoping to read this!!!!

taul166 10-15-2025 06:58 PM

Note how casual he is...the way he looks, walks, how he is dressed....strolls up so casual to the point where one could think the box belongs to him.

JollyElm 10-15-2025 08:07 PM

I think it was Goethe who said, "The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he wasn't a bald and pudgy senior citizen in casual wear."

They should release his name and his mugshot, so that everybody can keep a lookout for him. A thief is not just going to steal once ...

Yoda 10-18-2025 12:38 PM

Whatever has happened to the hobby we knew and loved; Nowadays it makes collecting rusty nails seem attractive.

Fred 10-18-2025 01:03 PM

I bet the kid was in on it. Watch the video closely, it looks suspicious. I hope we get the full story.

Though you may not care about TCG/Pokemon (I don't), it's adjacent to the hobby...

The amount of theft going on in the TCG/Pokemon community the past year+ is nation-wide and alarming. A seller is getting hit practically weekly in any random community...from table snatches to storefront breaking/entering smash and grabs...

You can do a web search for "Pokemon theft" and get a buffet of news articles all over the nation.
