Will anyone encapsulate these uncut sheets ??
2 Attachment(s)
I have many of these 1961 Post Cereal team sheets that I would like to have encapsulated. The one on the left I had framed under archival glass several years ago. The picture on the right shows the comparison between the two sheets. Each sheet is 12 1/2 inches long by 7 inches wide. Not sure if too big for encapsulation.....I don't care about grading, however the sheets I have are perfect.

I know Beckett has very large slabs which may be able to fit those
Not sure as to the other grading companies Rich |
I am not sure about a company encapsulating them.
But they are freaking awesome!! Bob |
I do not think any company has slabs that large in length but as stated Beckett may.

Too long, won't fit inside BGS holder.

PSA's jumbo slab maxes out at 11 inches in length, and as you noted, these pieces are longer than that.

I think if you cut them in half they will fit :)....
Seriously though, I have some pre war strips and have never given a thought to grading them. I guess everything gets a slab nowadays :( |

In the PSA registry. I noticed there is a 1921 w551 strip with 7 players graded,
Casey Stengel/Dave Bancroft/Frank Baker/Jess Barnes/Tris Speaker/Ty Cobb/Wally Pipp. I have never seen a picture of this one anywhere. PSA/SGC don't have holders big enough to fit the whole strip of 10. I have been collecting these for many years. I would like to get them encapsulated as well, it doesn't matter which grading company. Here is my question, the fact that PSA did grade a strip of 7 uncut, what is the cut off for them? I have a strip with 8 players, a strip with 9 players and full uncut strip. I know they won't grade the full one, but will the 8 or 9 players fit in any companies? I would think if they already graded one with 7 players, the 8 one might be ok ? Anyone have an idea? |
