Time frame for PSA/Ebay direct submissions

Hi All:

I just for the first time purchased something on ebay and used the submit directly to PSA for grading option.

The time frame "promised" was 29 days. Have others used this option, and if so how close to the promised turn around time did it end up being?

[Sarcasm incoming]

Well, it's PSA. Turnaround time is approximately 4,321 days. Oh, bear in mind...that's business days.

Never used the service but my promised does that mean a guarantee or your money back? Also what is the value of the card that was submitted. If it was under $500 then that is incredibly fast. If the card is worth $5000 then you did not do so well.

I haven't tried out this service myself as a buyer, but as an ebay seller, one recent sale recently went through PSA grading. Here are the timeframe for what this one went through:

Sept 9: I dropped off package at Post Office via Priority Mail
Sept 11: Delivered to Santa Ana, CA
Sept 16: Arrived at Hub
Sept 17: Item handed off to PSA
Sept 18: Grading started
Sept 22: Grading Completed
Sept 24: Shipped to buyer
Sept 29: Delivered to buyer

Overall, I think that was pretty quick.

What level of service did you use to get this quick turnaround time?

that will be 29 "business days" and my guess is 4 months at the rate they are going. Total cluster over there. At least it won't take 10 business days to check the cards in.

this must be why their regular 15 business day service is taking 3 months, just for high dollar reslabs. It's 2 weeks just to check in once received.

I guess we get to chat amongst ourselves as the host seems to be occupied with something else. And agreed on your point. It is taking 5 to 7 business days to get subs shipped. Every sub level is late. Takes forever to get subs logged in. Total shit show.

I don’t think you can choose a service. Again I was the seller and not the buyer here so I don’t know what option was picked. When I see the option on eBay, it usually costs $75 per item with no additional shipping fee. For the item in question above, the price was ~$1000 if that helps.

That was my experience as the buyer. I was given one option to submit to PSA for a $75 fee. My purchase was for $1100.

My next question is I wonder if they will upcharge me if they deem it to be worth more than I paid as a BIN?
