And don't think for a split second we haven't been looking at options/platforms to fix this forever. It's very difficult with the amount of data here and the fact the s/w is so old. Converting to a different platform and keeping all of this data won't be easy. . |

To ensure that Leon doesn't move this thread due to it not sticking to prewar card topics, let's show cards from issues that are technically very difficult to complete due to outages (short prints).
I will start with the a Red Ruffing card example from the U.S. Caramel issue, which has the extraordinarily tough Fred Lindstrom card that keeps most mere mortal collectors from completing the set. Brian |

All the cards in this set are of the 1924 WS Champion Washington Senators players. The 1924 WS is considered to be one of the best ever, and many are aware that WaJo won his first WS game and his only WS championship in the 12th inning of Game 7, after pitching 4 innings of shutout relief. What few remember is that outfielder Earl McNeely knocked in the winning run (with a bad-hop single) which was scored by catcher Herold "Muddy" Ruel (who was the catcher with the Yankees when Carl Mays threw the pitch that killed Ray Chapman). |
