Chris- wild results yesterday for sure. If the committee does what it is
actually supposed to do- an enormous "IF"- OSU should be 2. That is my team
so I do have a bias. I also know they were #1 for weeks of CFP rankings and
lost only to #2 by the slimmest of margins. I think Tech and UGA round out the
Top 4. Gonna be really interesting from there! Trent King

Bama was never in that game, I don't know how you can justify letting a three loss team that JUST got manhandled into the playoff.

I don't have a problem with Ohio State at #2. They just lost an amazing (especially for college now-a-days) defensive struggle in a squeaker to a team that had big wins against, at the time top 10 Illinois and #3 (and still #5) Oregon. Indiana's only bad outings were close wins over Maryland and Penn State. Obviously on any given day, but these certainly seem like the two best teams in the country right now. Though seeing one of them against Georgia for the title wouldn't be a bad thing either.

agree Alabama is out with three losses - but I like Texas in there with three losses - BYU Should be out, not sure who the 12th team should be.
Here’s the power rankings

Notre dame got snubbed
Miami got in- they needed a Acc team in
So ND needs to join a conference!!!!

I would rather see four teams only. And this year the top four are obvious.

Totally agree!!!!
Would hate to see a James Madison or Tulane get past next round-if remotely possible 1% chance.

agree with is 100% I originally thought the reason for playoffs was to make a clear champion - before the playoffs we might have two teams at the top of the Rankings that were pretty even and then there would be a smaller school ranked about third that was undefeated- all Arguing they were the champs - The fourth rank team really didn’t have an argument but would be gifted an opportunity.

Eric (Beercan)-

The reality is that major college football is no longer quasi-professional, it's
professional. Money ruins a lot of things. CFP won't contract, if anything it will
expand to 16 teams.

Back to the actual bracket. Not a big fan of the Ole Miss and Al/Ok rematch
games. A Tex Tech/Ore game sounds fascinating if it comes to pass.

Yeah More games more money sometimes I think I intentionally forget it’s all business, won’t be long they will be guaranteeing players minimum grades. In 2020 Alabama won the championship in 13 games this year probably gonna take 17 games and soon it’ll be 20 games

12 team playoff means 11 games, 4 team playoff only 3 games. QED I guess.

Beercan collector 12-07-2025 08:09 PM

To correct myself it would probably take 16 games to win the championship - Only Alabama Tulane and James Madison would need 17 games to win the championship

Bama lost early to a bad FSU team….they struggled midseason to beat some middling teams…then, their last four went like this:

L
W over an FCS opponent
W barely over a bad Auburn team
L

IMO, they didn’t deserve to be in.

Texas Oklahoma game would be better - I’m hoping Oklahoma destroys Alabama
