Here's the problem. The e-bay listing ties it to the SCD catalogue (even scans in the SCD description). SCD Catalogue clearly states the cards ar 1 5/8" x 1 7/8". The Lopez and another common I bought are not---- they are tiny, 5/8" x 13/16". When they arrived, I reviewed seller's description, and he does say they are smaller than an inch (I did not read that carefully), but again, the SCD description he provides has them at more than twice that size.<BR><BR>Needless to say, the smaller version is less attractive, and I am disappointed. Does anyone on the board have experience with this issue to tell me its true size? <BR>Regards.................Todd

Posted By: <b>fkw</b><p>The SCD is misprinted, they put a "1" in front of the actual size (7/8" by 5/8"). The rare Baguer cards are extremely tiny..... well under a square inch in size (finger nail size). The card you have is the only size the Baguers come in. The only variation is the color of the print on back, brown or red. The Baguer cards and the R423's are the smallest cards ever made (both are 7/8th" by 5/8th"). Frank

I think the antiquated program which houses the text portions of the book sutomatically inserts a &quot;1&quot; before fractions which don't otherwise have it; I'll make the nexeccary corrections; thanks for pointing this out. By the way, current accepted hobby definitions would never accord &quot;rookie card&quot; status to a Caribbean issue.

Posted By: <b>Paul</b><p> I would call this Lopez's rookie, regardless of its country of origin. I have several Baguer cards -- I believe I purchased two of them from Bob Lemke in SCD holders -- and they are all 7/8 x 5/8.

Posted By: <b>Todd (nolemmings)</b><p>Thanks for the clarification and input- I too believe it to be a rookie of Lopez.<BR><BR>Mr. Lemke, it's strange that the "antiquated" equipment to which you refer managed to accurately state the less than one inch dimensions for the R423 issue. Also strange that, while the Baguer Chocolates appear to be as small or smaller as any issue in your catalogue, this somewhat unique characteristic is completely lacking in your text description (unlike r423, which describes the set as "tiny").
