t210 vs t212

Posted By: Andy Cook
Based on casual observation over the past 10 years, seems that Obaks used to be much more popular than t210s, but that has recently reversed. Does anyone agree? If so, why? And where have all the Obak collectors gone?

Andy

Posted By: jay behrens
Maybe the Obak collectors have moved on to t210s, but I've noticed the same trend away from Obaks and on to T210s. The recent massive price increases of t210 forced meto rethink my player set and eliminate any minor league cards from goal.

I did auction a couple of Obaks recently on eBay and they far more hits than any of the t206s or 33 Goudeys listed. The orendorff, which I listed on the BST for $17 and no one wanted, went for $57 So I'd like to thank you all for not jumping on that card when I offered it

Jay

My place is full of valuable, worthless junk.

t210 vs t212

Posted By: tbob
The 1910 and 1911 Obak sets used (key word here is used) to be collectible sets and some of us finished them, or at least are close, and moved on to the Old Mills. I am not so sure that these 2 Obaks sets are as completable as they once were, the well seems to be pretty dry, plus if you want the 1911 set, you have to fight all the Black Sox and rookie card collectors for the Weaver.
Personally (from an aesthetic stanpoint)I think the nice looking Obak is far superior to the nice looking Old Mill. No contest.
