Creative card holders for your collection?

Posted By: Dave F
I have been racking my brain trying to come up with something halfway cool to transfer and keep my T206 collection in. They are (mostly) all graded...but not wanting to do the typical PSA box or SGC box....I've actually been wading through a couple antique shops trying to find an old box, crate...anything that jumps out at me. Some of the older boxes look pretty cool and may look good with 100 year old cards in them..but then my luck I'd buy a halway rusty tin box and it would rust up my slabs or something stupid....anybody have any creative type items or suggestions to keep the cards in?

Having said that I keep quite a few cards in my direct view at all times on my desk.

I use business card holders for the slabbed card stands and I made little card board easels for the raw cards in mini-toploaders. I'm sure you've also seen the wall hanging display case I have. I also have an MJ Roop Archival Box, but I don't keep any cards in it. I like to look at my cards too much!

(Crappy cellphone cam pic...)

Posted By: Adam
I put all my PSA slabs in these "slab pages" and then in a reglular 3 ring binder. Kind of boring, but it works.

http://www.the2buds.com/supgslbp.htm

Posted By: Dave F
Definately a few neat ideas guys. I guess in the end I may end up with the binder with the cards in pages...embarrassed to say what I've been using now...but my wife had a huge velvet lined box that perfume came in....the slabs fit perfect inside (60) of them. But there isn't room there anymore...I did see some decent looking older cigar boxes...but then again it's kind of stupid to put "cigarette cards" in cigar boxes right?

Trae....that would be enjoyable to have some of the cards constantly out to view....but then I'd have to put my 2 year old in a box...would be wayyy to tempting for her.

Posted By: JK
Jason,

The binder came from MJ Roop - I dont think they are in business any longer, but you can get an identical binder from other sources - the one I use now is an mj roop archival binder which fits into a slip case. I will have to do a search to find out where you can get them now. The pages are four-pocket ultra pro sheets:

http://www.the2buds.com/supg4.htm
