Posted By: barrysloate
Hi all- I have Mark Rucker visiting this week, and we had a meeting today with Joe D. to discuss the mammoth baseball photography book that Mark is planning. He's still trying to find a way to feasibly make it work.

My auction starts August 31 at 9:00 AM. The site is scheduled to launch at that time. I will put a reminder on the board Friday morning. Thanks for asking.

Posted By: barrysloate
Greetings. Mark Rucker here, reporting that after our meeting today, some new possibilities have arisen, and despite daunting expenses, we continue to explore ways to produce The History of Baseball Through Photography. I wanted to elicit ideas for marketing and promotion from the publishing group, and we will be asking for key images from Network54 members' collections to make this the strongest product possible.
There will not be any more news about this project for a few months, as I am moving to British Columbia very shortly, and will be working from up there for a while. In the meantime, Barry can update you on progress, and specify images we will be looking for. Your help will be essential to the book, but that is natural, since your group is the essence of the hobby.

Posted By: Dan Bretta
Hi Mark! Thanks for the update...I also noticed that you are mentioned by the new magazine "108" as their photo consultant and wanted to congratulate you on that. If anyone has not seen that magazine yet it is outstanding. It's the type of magazine that you will read every article.
