Panini Prizm

As mentioned above Panini Prizm seems to be the most popular with collectors. However, there are just so many out there. Luka Doncic in a PSA 9 peaked at a $500 card and now it sits in the $75...

Awesome Stuff

Very cool thread. I can't scan to this site but some of my favorite Olympic cards are on very thin paper set in Spanish of Emil Zatopeck, Abebe Bikila, Al Oerter and Larysa Latynina.

1987-88 Fleer

Back in that era of collecting dealers used to often wrap their complete sets like that for sale.

Waiting

I am waiting before I decide if I cross my cards.

I am more interested if/how they will grade the bags, as I have almost complete bagged and raw sets from each year of Star. Since I don't plan...

Great item

Really nice item. Just to clarify Russell's first year as player coach was 1966-67 so this would have been his second year although it was his first Championship as player coach.

Price drop

The price is going on the wrong direction.

If I was the top bidder - I would not be happy. His top bid of $22,600 has been outed. Three bid retractions.

Some is hot

1990-91 OPC Premier is doing well particularly Jagr.

1991-92 Upper Deck Hasek has taken off.

Check for Iginla, Thornton RC's for certain and Chara 1997-98 SP.

Centering

Peter,
I have never seen that kind of centering on that card as well. Definitely looks narrow but as usual no one seems to care.

8 cards short

I am 8 cards short of completing the set in PSA/SGC graded form. My cards range from a PSA/SGC 2 to a PSA/SGC 7 with a majority being in the 5-6 range. The PSA 2 is a Terry Sawchuk RC that was in a...

Hof

Interesting choices to leave out.

Lapointe certainly seems like a lock. 6 Stanley Cups. 4 times a first or second team all-star. Six times in the top 5 in Norris Trophy voting. 3 time 20...

Neely

Neely was in a pretty good situation for him. He had Craig Janney and than Adam Oates as his extremely pass first centers. He had Bourque on the Power Play and he got a lot of ice time. Yes, the...

Coffey was an amazing skater and offensive talent. His defense was generally regarded as below average. However, people like to find weaknesses in someone so prolific offensively. Coffey gained a...

Hall of Fame

The Hockey Hall of Fame is likely the most random of all of the Hall of Fames. All sorts of different variables.

Parent was incredible those two seasons. I know Montreal swept them in 1976 but 3 of the games were one goal games and the last was 5-3. I can't help but wonder what would have happened had a...

Nice thread

Just a couple of quick corrections:

Actually Butch Goring did it in 1980-81. I am not certain if anyone has done it since.

It was Viktor Tikhonov and his quote was that Gainey was the...

Basketball Rookies

All basketball RC's of anyone in the HOF or HOF bound are on fire.

The only set that still has not gone crazy is the 1948 Bowman set with the exception of Mikan of course.
