Good topic

not sure about hardcore, but the PSA Registry grabbed my competitive spirit awhile back when it comes to collecting just the basic Topps issues of some of my favorite HOFers, so I have attacked the...

The 1978 Reggie

In my opinion, this may be the best card of the 1970s, let alone the 1978 set.
captures a legend perfectly and has tremendous aesthetic value.

1980's is the way to go for me!

I have had the same sort of issues in the past....where I collect mostly pre-war, with a fair amount of 50s and 60s. But to get my fix of opening packs, I buy cheap 1980s wax and have fun re-living...

1) eliminate the DH. Don't you think that doing this would reduce the pressure on position players to perform like DH's (and therefore reduce incentive to use PEDs? just a thought...may not be...

Nope!

there's enough to like about the 71s but overall, I have to say that I dislike the set because I find the border blemishes way too distracting to the eye. A PSA 9 set would be nice to look at, but...

1961

Big fan of the 1961...a sharp-focused, strong color example is one of my favorite cards.

great question!

and a funny one to try to answer.
This phenomenon is why I am not interested in collecting sets (checklists!), and it is also the number one trigger for when I switch collecting focus from time to...

a great talent, yes, but

the "Fame" part of the equation couldn't be found more lacking...can't put in coaches. Managers, umpires and executives are a stretch as it is!

Absolutely not.

From MegaMind

"You don't know what's good for Bad!"
