I strongly agree with Tony A. UPS, at one time, was the safer route to go. In recent years, the USPS has improved their safety preformance, while UPS has declined. They've meet somewhere in the middle. One big difference-- it's much, much less of a hassle to collect on insured items with the USPS. Never thought I'd say it...I now prefer them.

At low price levels, the rate of attrition is likely lower than the cost to insure. Yet, I always pay the extra to avoid such moments. For tasks such as these, good help is hard to find.
