Mathewson isn't in that picture; it was taken early in the season when Buck Herzog was still the manager before he was traded to the Giants for Mathewson. Herzog is in the second row from the bottom, second from the left. The player (actually a coach) on the far left of the third row is 45-year-old Heinie Peitz.
