Thanks.  I've thought about all the different variations.  I have a similar project with Rickey Henderson.  I made a 58 white letter for him.  I don't leave any marks identifying that I made them.  The more indistinguishable the better I feel.

 You could even go back and create variations for kicks (White letters, blackless, NNOF, Desert shield stamping (if you can do that)...
 
 I used to feel that customs were going to mess up the hobby, but honestly they have more of a personal touch that the hobby has lost with Topps printing left and right.  Do you date your cards or add your own signature/logo somewhere on the back?
