Would that be a good choice or are there better options out there?

The Epson is a great scanner. I have the V550, and am happy with it. The only issue I have had is a couple times I have had to remove the driver software from my computer and re-install it, which was because the update caused a glitch in my computer and the software could not find my scanner. It was quick to fix, and I did not need tech support to help. The software itself is easy to use, and the images are very nice. The V550 also cost me $90 at Best Buy new.
