Default SOLD 1951 New York Giants Season Pass Willie Mays R.O.Y. Shot Heard Round World

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrI7dVj90zs - "The Giants win the pennant, the Giants win the pennant......."

The Called Shot and the Shot Heard 'Round the World - The 2 most famous "shots" in the History of Baseball, and this one we know for certain happened!

1951 was also the Rookie Year for Willie Mays!!! and there are ZERO Tickets or Passes graded for Mays 1st game in New York, so this is about as good as it gets.

Again PSA POPULATION ZERO, No Giants 1951 season passes encapsulated, and only 4 Shot Heard 'Round the World Tickets out there compared to 91 Babe Ruth Called Shot Tix, making this EXTREMELY RARE and a piece of Baseball History as it was GUARANTEED at that game, among several other games. Read on for who it was issued to....

The New York Giants were the ultimate underdogs heading into a best of three with the Brooklyn Dodgers for the National League pennant. That’s because before that, the Giants were down by more than 10 games in the standings in August, but stormed back to force the pennant playoff by the end of the season. The teams split the first two games of the series and the Giants entered the bottom of the ninth down 4-1, but managed to pull within two runs by the time Bobby Thompson approached the plate. Thompson then launched a three-run home run to cap one of the greatest comebacks in professional sports history. An unforgettable scene ensued, with the team carrying Thompson off on their shoulders. At the same time, Giants broadcaster Russ Hodges was yelling at the top of his lungs “The Giants win the pennant! The Giants win the pennant!” It’s moments like that that make baseball magical.

1951 New York Giants Polo Grounds Season Pass Issued to Sportswriter Carl Lundquist

Lundquist was a reporter who worked in New York, and covered the Giants, writing the legendary words "Never had there been a finish like this. Nor will there probably be another in our times. There just couldn't be." for New York Newsday. The article was picked up by newspapers all over the country, the words reprinted for decades as a way of describing Bobby Thomson's "Shot Heard Round The World" to win the 1951 pennant for the Giants.

This is the pass that got him into the game. Outstanding historical significance. What has come to be known as one of the most dramatic postseason home runs in baseball history!!!!!
