Quite true! Cobb was NOT a racist. Cobb was known for his willingness to barnstorm against Negro League competition at a time when true racists like John McGraw refused to do so. Here's a telling quote from Ty Cobb: "The black man has just as much of a right to play major league baseball as the white man."
