I never realized that Pedro's debut came in relief of his brother Ramon's start as a pitcher. That's also very cool.
BTW, in the early 1990's Ramon Martinez was a highly thought of pitching prospect and was the talk of baseball as a rookie. To his credit, Ramon stated on multiple occasions: "Wait until you see my little brother Pedro! He's the one"
