Day 318 (November 13, 2020 – 318)

Coming off the 1966 season with a World Series victory you’d figure the Orioles would be in the running for the upcoming 1967 season. We had Frank Robinson coming off his Triple Crown year, surrounded by a group of young stars, and the pitching was on a high. Well, as you already know it wasn’t meant to be and the Orioles finished in 6th place 15 ½ games back of first place. There were several issues this year, but we’ll not go over them.
I’ll start today with a 1967 Orioles Season Pass.

At least during 1967 we could relive some great memories from the Series in the Topps set like the following card:

As a plus Brooks had his floating head on a 1967 checklist card. As Darren (JollyElm) noted early, in post #20, there is a variation of the checklist. I’ll go with the names given by Darren and put them in his own words. “The first one, which I decided to call Mr. Chin, features his chin shadow coming in contact with the top of the black bounding box. This version includes a large amount of dark shadowing beneath his chin and up the side of his face. The second version, Mr. Cheeky portrays him with more of a svelte appearance as he people at Topps cropped out a good amount of his face, making him appear much thinner. It’s most obvious in the section of his cheek below his left ear.” I’ll just picture one variation of the checklist and if you’d like to view the other check out post #20.
