Patrick, being as you are a fan of the Washington, DC, baseball team and live in a DC suburb, IMHO your only logical choice is a Walter Johnson card. WaJo's 1913 WG5 National Game & WG6 Tom Barker game cards (both cards have the same pose) are attractive, and nice-condition examples can be obtained for $300-500.
