Default 1847-57 U. S. Imperf Stamp Set

Offering the very first stamps issued by the United States Post Office. All used and in very nice condition, two of which have PSE certs.

Includes:

#1a 5 Cent Franklin Brown ink with black cancel and nearly full margins, a
very light diagonal crease which does not show from the front
#2 10 Cent Washington with red or orange red grid cancel, nice 4 margin copy
#7 1 Cent Franklin #7 strip of 3 with New York circular date stamp
#11 3 Cent Washington Rose Brown PSE 90 Jumbo margins with circular date
stamp, an exceptional example. Position 6L6
#12 5 Cent Jefferson PSE Genuine cert Red Brown with a black circular date
stamp, another 4 full margin stamp
#15 10 Cent Washington Black circular date town stamp with 4 full margins
#17 12 Cent Washington 3 full margins, the right cut close, shows part of
another stamp at the bottom, very light cancel.

A very clean and attractive group, much nicer than most which are usually put together of stamps cut well into the frame lines or with faults, such as thins or repairs. A couple have previous expert philatelists penciled marks on the backing, authenticating them the old school way.

A chance to own a type collection of all of the imperforate regular issues of U.S. stamps.
