Also, I have a few books that have pages with brown patches/spots on the edges (see photos attached). The spots are primarily on pages just inside the book cover, and then the first few pages in. I thought it was moisture damage (may be), but now I'm not sure. It also looks like it could be old page/wood reaction to light? Before I put these books in storage I wondered if anyone can tell me what would cause the pages to brown along the those edges, and, if I need to do something before storing as I don't want them to further deteriorate. Pointing me to some useful links appreciated. Thank you.
