Do the math. My great-grandfather (about whom I know nothing whatsoever) was born in 1817. DURING THE NAPOLEANIC WARS!!! The President of the United States was James MADISON, one of the Founding Fathers (not that my great-grandfather ever heard of the United States!).

My great-grandfather was born just days before Pirates second baseman Dots Miller in the same town, one block away from each other in the German section of town. I think it would be safe to say they knew each other...that's not even factoring in that Miller's niece married into my family.
