Brings up a good point. Why is a GU bat that is "pounded" with ball and stitch marks, tape and pine tar, graded a 10, while a baseball card that shows game use (from being flipped constantly, or put between bicycle spokes, or taped into an album) is graded Poor?

I'm thinking a card grading company should come along and grade cards the same way GU stuff is graded. Cards showing good use should get the highest grades, while pristine, mint unused cards should get the lowest grades associated with "game ready" examples.

A crease on a card = a crack on a bat, or appropriate wear on a jersey.
