The smaller ball variation was also a feature of the 1925 Washington Pennant Winners pin as well as a white " Washington Senators" pin that was probably of that period. I think I've also seen the 1925 Pirates Pennant Winners version with that same small ball, so it seems to have been a one or two-year conception of whoever made these.
