if you just look at the bigger auction houses and the items over $250K even in the last few months the numbers are huge.
But also it depends as mentioned earlier what you define as the collectible you are counting and what time frame

actually seems like the items over $250K seems to be growing and the values seems to have more staying power(with institutional buys or new money coming in)
