I had sent this Mantle into PSA and it came back the same way as your Ryan, "miscut" and unslabbed, which was a huge surprise to me. Sent it in to SGC to make sure it got inside a holder and the "miscut" is noted on the label.

The card obviously came out of the factory and into a pack this way, so it's just an unfortunate occurrence. Since it is an authentic card, it's really annoying that PSA refuses to holder these types of things.

The great black background of the SGC slab helps show that the left side comes in and out and is not a straight edge. Apparently that's the 'miscut'...even though it's naturally cut that way, not altered.
