Honestly, I found a ton online and some info.
Looks like it's a Lane Cedar Chest - Model Style No. 6274-04. That model seems to have been in production in that form during the late 50's through the 60's. Eric's serial # info will give you exact date of production.
It should match the following -
Dimensions: 41" W, 25.25" H, 19" D
Inside dimensions: 38-1/2 (wide) x 12 (high) x 16-1/2
As you can imagine, hope chests are not in much demand in today's market so if you could get anything between 1 and 150 from a mid-modern collector, you would have the bull by the horns.

I did see a few in the 75 to 150 slot too, so all is not lost.
There are some model differences that may have another number. I would flip it to locate the info on the bottom of the piece. You should find all needed info there.
