Up for sale is a lot of 27 heavily trimmed 1940 Play Ball cards. Included is a card of Hall of Famer Bobby Doerr, as well as cards from noteworthy players Bob Johnson, Hal Trosky, Cookie Lavagetto, Bucky Walters, Wally Berger, Bill Jurges, Mickey Owen, Al Schacht and others. Besides the obvious trimming on all sides, ten cards have writing on front and/or back, some scuffing, mostly on the back, is on about a third of the cards, and many cards have various levels of the infamous 1940 Play Ball toning. Only one card has creasing, and the player images are all fairly decent and problem free.
