The Exhibits remind me of this scene from "It's a Wonderful Life"...

My friends and I only saw the vending machines at events like the Fireman's Fair, and in a world of colorful Topps cards, those large, B/W things just seemed so ancient to us.
(I also remember a poster you could win at the toss-a-ring booth was Dean Martin and the Gold Diggers. Who the heck are they and what kid wants that old thing???).

Even if they were just created recently, the Exhibits were too old for us. We wanted new cards of our favorite players and team (Mets!!!!).
