Make a purchase of $50.00 or more without consulting past sales on their phone?

I only went on Friday afternoon. From what I saw, the show was fairly typical for this venue. There was a mix of old and new, sports and TCG, singles and wax.
The line to get in was probably monstrous. I was in line 30 minutes early, and I was barely in the building. Shortly after I got there, event staff sprang into action to make sure the line (now going out the door) was orderly. No way I was going out there to take a look, though. I was near the front of the line...there were
only about 150 people ahead of me.
I saw quite a few new dealers. Most of them were the TCG (Pokemon, etc,) crowd, though. I didn't spend a lot of time at those tables. I was only looking for vintage baseball cards.
Yes, I purchased all these cards without consulting past sales. I did check my phone once...to make sure the Ryan rookie had a valid cert number.
