An update on this listing. It was pointed out to me that the date 1955 appears to be there, but is blacked out. I can barely see what appears to be 1955 but it's blacked out. I checked other similar version cards on eBay, and some of them also appear to have 1955 blocked out, it's probably blocked out on the others as well. So it seems that when this card was first produced, Topps realized that they made a mistake because it should say 1956. So they blocked it out somehow during printing, then eventually corrected it by centering the team.
