I'm very happy to have finally closed the book on the last high-dollar card needed for my graded Cubs collection with a King Kelly pickup. I've been working on this particular collection for almost 27 years and thankfully a handful of those high-dollar cards were purchased before they became high-dollar cards in this current market.

It was more than I planned on bidding, but a strong week on my investments going into the holiday weekend made it easy to tack an extra 1200 more than I wanted as a ceiling.

There's only 3 N172 Kelly cards with him in a Chicago jersey and I'm a bit tired of chasing and failing while the price to buy into the chase keeps going up.

Now all that's left on the high end is a few cards in the 800-1200 range. I'm very happy to have the N172 Kelly chase behind me with a nice looking example.

It also seems to be the given example in the "OJ Book" so it may have been someone's card on this board.
