Mark, pure speculation on my part, but I think the reason there are so few of these is that they were never available for purchase as they were made for special events. The construction of the pennant is unlike any others from that vintage (I believe wool, with the spine cut in an hourglass shape also made of the same wool-like material). I have a few other pennants from 1957-58 that were also clearly made for special 1957-58 Dodger events only.

You guys are both lucky to own those beauties! Mark, I think yours deserves better than bin storage. You also might want to adjust the “value” upwards.
