My wife was going through the REA catalog to see if there was any fun Cardinals stuff as a Christmas present for her dad, and actually remembered how much the opening bid was on what I won, so I’m not going to be able to downplay this purchase!!

I am the proud new owner of the two L1’s in REA last night. Being in the land of no real shows all my life, I’ve never even seen an L1 in person, so these will be a brand new experience for me when I get to open the box! I’m pretty excited to have these guys coming in a couple weeks! Hopefully pics will be good to go by the time they get here and I can share.

1912 L1 Large Leather Premium #127 Ty Cobb
1912 L1 Large Leather Premium #116 John McGraw

I may try to do a full framed display the wall with the McGraw. After I pay the account back, I’ll take a look for a McGraw T3, Silk Premium and maybe a nice autograph or something to go with. I always have a hard time parting with cash I could put towards my love of T206 HOFer front/back combos, but feel pretty good about adding these two L1’s and will force myself to clean up the collection a little to fund them! I was bummed I missed the Walsh that sold last year and kept thinking about it, so feel good about finally landing these two.

I’m looking forward to seeing (or just reading) what you all grabbed!

Enjoy the day,
Bob
Great pickups Bobby!
Here are REA's scans. Hope you don't mind me posting them.
