Mike in the future try and buy pins without the foxing spots on the front..those little brown spots are called foxing.. some rare pins you cant help but that indians pin comes up alot and can be found much cleaner... foxing or rusting or staining on the front of a pin is like buying a card with a crease in it.. takes the value way down...

Thanks, Al. I didn't know the terminology. It seems like that style of clasp didn't appear on smaller (e.g. 1.75") pins until later. Correct? I thought a "bayonet" would date it later but apparently not on larger pins. What kind of clasp is on the ultra expensive 3-6" pins of pennant winners from the 1920's?
