t-206collector...that I have to be present at the game for a pitcher to throw a perfect game. I was in attendance at Messrs. Wells and Cone's perfectos -- the benefit of being a Sunday season ticket holder in 1998 and 1999. The day after the Wells game I went up to Yankee Stadium and had him sign the Newsday cover as he was entering the Stadium, then promptly got my signed paper and ticket stub framed together.
I was also at Al Leiter's no-no in May 1996 against the Rockies. Not quite as exciting as the perfectos, but still cool nonetheless.
If you haven't been to a perfect game before, I highly recommend it. It's very exciting.
