Civil war albumen image produced in the 1880's showing soldiers playing "ball". No bat in image. Not exactly sure what game of "ball" this is but interesting none-the-less. 3 1/2" x 4". SOLD

Very interesting grouping of 16 scorebooks, apparently kept by a scout, covering hundreds of PCL games between 1958 and 1969. Most of the games are Vancouver, Tacoma and Seattle. Some of the names I recall coming across are; Brooks Robinson, Willie McCovey, Tony LaRussa, Lou Pineilla, Steve Carlton, Gaylord Perry and many others. One game even had Satchell Paige pitching (the final game of the season) and I believe he would have been around 60 years old then. There are also a smattering of professional games he went to including the Yankees/Braves World Series game. SOLD

c. 1890 image of the minor league Portsmouth team. A few white spots but otherwise a very clear and detailed image in it's original frame. Frame 11 1/2" x 13". Image is 7" x 9/ 1/2". SOLD

Closer view of the Portsmouth team. The players are hand numbered on the image but, unfortunately, there are no corresponding names written on the image. Research should yield the names of these players.

1880'S tintype of an athletic looking ballplayer. He leans on a ring bat and has something white tucked into his belt. This tintype is in better condition than most tintypes that I have seen but it does have some very light bends. 2 1/2" x 3 1/2". SOLD

Late 1870's cabinet card of the "A" team. Players wear boater-style baseball caps, pitcher holds ball, couple of players hold bats and catcher has mask and fingerless glove. Players are identified on the back as is the photographer (see next photo). 4 1/4" x 5 3/4". See photo for condition. SOLD

Back of "A" team photo. SOLD

Rare Outdoor Action Shot of a Circa 1890 Baseball Player. In the background can be seen the third base line, a uniformed third base coach and a wooden fence surrounding the playing field. The batter is identified through other civilian photographs (included with photo) as Arthur Kerns of Ohio. The albumen image is 4” x 5”. SOLD

1880's baseball player cabinet card #2. Some staining to lower left of card. SOLD

1869 Harpers Weekly Cincinnati. SOLD

1882 Harpers Weekly Providence team with Harry & George Wright. SOLD

1888 Joseph Hall Athletics team cabinet card - sharp image with some edge trimming. SOLD

c. 1885 Augusta team image. Rare image from the short-lived Southern League. Many of the players from the Southern League also played in the AA and NL. This image is a large 10" x 13" and has some defects (see image) but has been matted for it's protection. Scorer holds Spalding scorebook, catcher has fingerless workman gloves and team mascot is shown.
SOLD
