You can still learn enough from studying ebay scans to i.d. some of the more obvious fakes, like this one. If you want to learn about '34 Goudeys, do a search on ebay and look at the ones being offered by reputable dealers...study them. Eventually you will get to a point where it is obvious that a card like this one is a fake - it just doesn't look right for a number of reasons...lots of little things will be percolating in your subconscious over time, to help you reach that point
