Default My new find: Uncut 1949 Bowman Low Number Sheet

Posted By: Ted Zanidakis

You said that the backs of the cards on this 1949 Bowman sheet
are not overprinted. Then this particular sheet is pretty rare.
Typically, these sheets are overprinted with the bios from the
3rd sheet in the 1949 Bowman set. Quite a few of these sheets
have surfaced in the hobby the past 35 years. I have one and it
is overprinted; therefore, it very difficult to place a value
on it. Since the back of yours is "clean", using a Price Guide,
you can determine the value of it yourself. Of course, you have
to consider the condition of each individual card in your eval-
uation. With HOF guys like Musial, Doerr, Feller, Kiner, Spahn
& Reese on this sheet, you'll be surprised how valuable an item
that you have. What this sheet will sell for is another story.
Collectors of uncut sheets (like me) are willing to pay a extra
premium for such a great piece of BB card history.
