1. Frank Chance
I’m thinking I would have loved to play under Frank Chance. I think he had the respect of his players. I think of the 116 games won in a season and four pennants in five years.

2. John McGraw
10 NL pennants between 1905-24; won 3 World Series (1905, 21-22); 2nd on all-time career list with 2,866 wins in 33 seasons. I think he was Charles Barkley before there was a Charles Barkley. Love his Quotes.

3. Bill Carrigan
Rough Carrigan guided his team to second place his first year while guiding a young rookie named Babe Ruth then wins 2 World Series and walks away from baseball till 1927. From all accounts he was a fine manager but was burned out by many players behavior including Ruth. He also didn’t like Harry Frazee. Although he never went back to the World Series upon his return to baseball I wonder how great he may have been if he had never left at all.

4. Jack Barry
Had to follow up and take the Red Sox to the 1918 World Series. Imagine Harry Hooper led the regulars on the team with a 289. BA and A pitcher and platoon player Babe Ruth led the team with 11 HRs and as a team the sox only hit 15 the whole year. When I look at the lineup its amazing what Jack Barry did with that team. A total team batting average of 249. A World Series Winner with a 249 BA Hard to believe although the team era of 2.41 had a lot to do with it.

Well Just a opinion I could be wrong.
