Default opinion on McCarthy autograph

I have a '39 "who's who in baseball" that my dad personally had autographed. He lived by Sportsman's Park in St. Louis and was an autograph hound back then, so I know all of the autographs in this book are authentic.
This autograph looks good to me,but I am no expert.
