Currently, there are a Grade 7 Sullivan going for $1500 and a Grade 8 Willetts
going for $2400+ with 4 bids. Therefore, extrapolating down to Grade 5 for such
commons, I see bidding at $200 (or more) continuing to be the norm for quite
some time.
The overall economy is considerably better than the "media" is reporting; and,
this fact will continue to "stoke" these prices for T206 cards. Now, I will give
you the benefit of my selling experience at the past two Philly Shows, where
I have sold numerous T206's in varying condition (raw and graded)......
RAW commons Ex to Ex/Mt sold for $75 to $200.
GRADED commons (GAI 5 to GAI 6) sold for $100 to $275.
Had I put these Graded cards on Ebay, I'm sure the bidding would have resulted
in higher $$ than these prices. And, the reason I say this because I turned down
an offer for a Lajoie (portrait), graded GAI 5, of $500. I put it on Ebay and it sold
for $745. (much to my surprise and delight).
