I have a similiar question.

Why is it "against board protocol" to post a link to an ongoing ebay auction?
Perhaps a prospective buyer wants opinions as to whether a certain card is authentic/trimmed, etc? I would think this board is specifically the place to post such questions.
Just wondering.
